Angelitos de Oro Announces Dates, New Retailers for 2018 Card Week at South Coast Plaza Benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters

Card sales begin Aug. 15 for the October shopping fundraiser supporting youth mentorship programs

 

COSTA MESA, Calif., (Aug. 15, 2018) – Angelitos de Oro, a Santa Ana-based volunteer auxiliary group, is partnering again with South Coast Plaza for Angelitos Card Week benefitting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Inland Empire. Taking place this year from Oct. 3-9, the weeklong exclusive shopping fundraiser offers cardholders 20 percent savings at more than 120 participating South Coast Plaza boutiques and restaurants.

Cards will go on sale for $60 beginning Aug. 15 at angelitosdeoro.org. New participating retailers and restaurants in 2018 include Alexander McQueen, Aritzia, Club Monaco, Friar Tux Shop, ILORI Optical, Kids Atelier, Lafayette 148, Massimo Dutti, Monark Premium Appliance Co., Nike Running, Sam Edelman, Steve Madden, Swarovski and Vie de France. They join longtime participants such as Bottega Veneta, Escada, Oscar de la Renta and Saint Laurent.

All proceeds from card sales will be donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Over the last 57 years, Angelitos de Oro has contributed more than $6.5 million for the organization’s one-to-one mentoring programs for youth facing adversity.

“Angelitos Card Week plays a key role in our ability to build meaningful mentoring relationships for underserved youth in our community,” said Sloane Keane, chief development officer, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Orange County and the Inland Empire. “We deeply appreciate Angelitos de Oro’s longtime commitment and the impact the group has had in helping our youth and mentors reach milestones they never thought possible, such as high school graduation.”

Advance purchase of the card by noon on Sept. 29 also includes an invitation to the Preview Day Champagne Brunch Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. in South Coast Plaza’s Garden Terrace. Attendees save 20 percent one day early at selected Preview Day boutiques, with 10 percent of the proceeds donated to Big Brothers Big Sisters. Cards purchased and RSVPs sent in after noon of Sept. 29 are subject to capacity.
